Adopting an Exmoor pony

By adopting an Exmoor pony you will be helping us to carry on our work and at the same time can develop a special relationship with your chosen pony.

When you first purchase an Adopt-a-Pony Gift Box you will receive all the information you need to register your choice of pony for adoption. Once you have registered your choice you will then receive a certificate and picture of your chosen pony. You will also receive the following benefits:-

· You will be sent four updates (with photo) during the year with news of what has been happening with your pony

· You are welcome to come and meet your pony at the Exmoor Pony Centre (however please note that adoption ponies are only on site between Easter and September)

· Some of our adoption ponies are able to be ridden, subject to our usual weight limit.

The Adopt-a-Pony Gift Box makes a wonderful present for anyone interested in horses or in conserving a British rare breed. The Gift Box costs £19.99 and the initial adoption period is for one year. Adoptions can be renewed annually and we will send out a reminder when your adoption period is coming to an end. Renewal of an adoption costs just £15 per year.

The Moorland Mousie Trust has five ponies available for adoption, all of them very different.

Abbi is a ridden pony. She has a lovely nature and is a very popular mare.

Barney is nearly 5 years old. He is in training to be a ridden pony and can be quite mischievous.

Kate is also a ridden pony, but smaller than Abbi. She is popular with experienced riders.

Tom can be lightly ridden but has a heart problem and needs special attention.

Winston lost an eye when younger and is now being trained to pull the harrow in our fields.

The Adopt-a-Pony Gift Box is available from The Moorland Mousie Trust shop or you can order it by email or phone. There are no additional postage and packaging charges if you purchase the Gift Box from us directly.
